Overview:
This role shall have the responsibility for taking care of the overall leadership and smooth running of the home, the safety and welfare of the boys, and the establishment of a fair, productive, social, and working rehabilitation home.
The caregiver will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
1. Ensuring that all boys have completed an induction process and that the daily routine is understood and adhered to.
2. Must portray and build friendly and professional working relationships with the boys.
3. Should keep a regular record of health and safety items and ensure prompt responses to matters relating.
4. Must have the ability to keep full in-depth knowledge of all boys in the home.
5. Should make sure that the boys have read, understood, and abide by the house rules and regulations.
6. Responsible for the care of all religious activities of the boys – from church service to daily fellowships.
Requirements:
1. Must be willing to reside at the foundation at all times with the availability of shifts.
2. Must be kept abreast of all disciplinary actions tied to specific offences and must be able to show authority over the boys.
3. Flogging is highly prohibited; therefore, other means of discipline should be suggested for review by the authorities.
4. System for reward should also be considered, suggested, and implemented when approved.
5. Must adhere to foundation hygiene standards.
6. Must be someone of high moral standards.
7. Basic knowledge of first aid, CPR, drug use and administration are a plus.
8. Possession of a valid driving liscience and driving skill is a plus.
